Our site and THAT article, what we have decided to do.
by fullofdoubtnow inas many of you know, we were asked to remove an article from our website the other day after pressure on the site admin from jws.
we had thought of rewriting it, and including references, then putting it back on the site.. however, we aren't going to do that now.
instead, trev has expanded the article somewhat, and included examples, all of which ended up with the abusive jw concerned going to prison, and we are having 2000 copies printed initially, and distributed locally.

I'm not the primary care giver to my children, but I appreciate my ex not making it hard for me to see them regularly. I see them a couple of times every week and they stay over every other weekend. Of all the regrets I have , the children are my biggest. To feel I let them down is something I always have to live with.

If there is one thing that being a dub has tought me is that despite the best intentions, power corrupts. To use an ancient book and say you know its meaning is the claim of all religions, and by their knowing it you have to go to them to gain understanding. There are some good thoughts and messages in the Bible and there are some truly horific things written in it too.

Can Someone Explain Horror Movies?

i think it was saw iii or something, all this blood, gore, shrieking and grotesque violence, all i can do is ask with a sense of awe --why?
why would someone want to watch that?.

No seriously, there are different levels of horror I guess, I went to see one (cant remember the name now) about a mutated(?) guy living in the sewer near the underground (subway), I watched some of it but had to walk out as it was just gross for the sake of it. First time i've ever walked out of the movies - bet people thought I was a dub lol

Its good to read that the WTS lawyers cant win this one and the beginings of exposing their rotteness is happening. Its truely disgusting that the organisation has become so important that at all costs it must be deffended and protected, leaving the people (the victims) to fend for themselves - is this really the faithful and discreet slave, thats providing food at the proper time? Come on Judgement day and end this false religion soon!

The past is crucial my friend, from 607 up to the present day. If some things have changed, then how do you know other things wont? Do you rely on your leaders to interpret the Bible for you, only to learn that its been changed, how do you put faith in that?

The alternative offered her is to come back into the real world, its up to each individual to make their choices in life and we dont try to force anyone into a mold we think is best. I admit it was scary at first to think of a life where I make the choices and can't run it by a watchtower or elder, but in time it becomes easier.

Again if you make such a bold statement then I suggest you have absolute proof and show us all, the sort of proof that is shown by many board members here in refuting the Watchtowers docrines.
Many who come here at first want to change things and bring us all back to the 'truth' or at the very least defend the society, but in time by being here and seeing the refreshingly open discussion, and inconsistancy's of the WTS, some begin to remove the carefully made JW mindset. I wish you well in your journey however it goes, and am pleased you are not controlled to the extent the WTS wishes. Your presence here shows you are willing to look at and discuss things, something the Society would wish you didnt.

Special Assembly 2-Day 2,000 delegates and TWO baptisms!

only two baptisms today; two girls about 15-16 out of 2,000 attendees.. i stumbled more than two with my anti-witnessing.
i posted un expose material in the bathrooms along with pre and post nov 1995 1914 generation belief.. incidentally, attendance was down almost 25% over last year as well.

I believe the stats show that there is a greater female to male ratio in the society. If so thats another two who wont find hubbies in da troof. One day there will be such a LARGE ARMY OF WOMEN, that they'll have to bend the male's only rule for the GB!

Personally when I used to sit in a meeting and hear someone comment that Jehovah had answered a prayer e.g. A sister had an illness and prayed about it and went in remission, and was then able to serve (WTS interests) more fully, i'd be thinking I wonder how so and so feels knowing their faithful mother died of a similar illness and God didnt save her? It made no sense at all. Also to compare being able to pray to a god and talk to a person is completely different, they cant compare the two. With God your the only one talking, there is no direct 'answer' only what you might percieve to be an answer or not as the case may be.
